About Us
Welcome to the Official website for the Owego Apalachin Football Club - serving the Owego and Apalachin Communities! OAFC is a not-for-profit, parent-run Football and Cheerleading program for both girls and boys.

OAFC is a member of the Southern Tier Youth Football Conference which hosts teams from Tioga, Broome, Chenango and Susquehanna (PA) counties.

Our Football program has football teams at 4 levels:

Pre-K/Kindergarten - Flag Team-->This team will be run as our flag program has in the past. This team will play 5 weeks of games. Practice will begin August 15th, 2022.

1st/2nd Grade - Flag Team--> This team will be a more competitive level of flag, playing the full 8 weeks of games and will be the 'C' level team. Practice will begin August 1st, 2022.

3rd/4th Grade - Tackle Team-->The 'B' team will now be made up of kids in 3rd and 4th grades. The ball-carrying eligibility weight for this level is 85lbs. Practice will begin August 1st, 2022.

5th/6th Grade - Tackle Team-->The 'A' team will now be made up of kids in 5th and 6th grades. Ball-carrying eligibility is 115lbs. Practice will begin August 1st, 2022.

Depending on registration numbers there could be 2 teams at each level for the C, B and A teams for the 2022 Season. A game schedule for each set of teams will be sent out after the first week of practice.

**All 7th graders must play at the school's modified level. Boys can sign up for Modified Football during their PE classes. Feel free to contact the OA Athletic Office at 607-7301 x2081 with any questions regarding Modified Football!

We also offer cheerleading for girls ages 5-14. Cheer levels are determined by age, and we also offer a modified level cheer team. Cheerleaders participate at all of our football games, home and away. At the end of the football season, our cheerleaders also participate in 2 or 3 cheer competitions around the region.
